Change

Change is scary. If you let anxiety win, its fright can burn your confidence to the core. But if you embrace its uncertainty, it can let you shine brighter than ever before.
There’s a lot of change happening in my life right now. That’s also the reason why I don’t have the mental capacity to write as much, even though I enjoy it. I’m about to embark on the journey of a lifetime: I’m going to leave my job and travel the world. It sounds like a dream come true, and it is. But it also comes with a good portion of anxiety. This anxiety creates thought loops that are difficult to get out of. That’s why my mental fortitude is dampened at the moment. But that’s alright. I know that it’s temporary, and my cognitive strength will return.
Change commands energy. But if the change goes in the right direction, you will end up with even more energy than you had before. If you avoid change, growth will elude you. Charging into the unknown is frightening. But there’s nothing more frightening than staying the same while the sands of time erode you to nothingness. So charge on ahead with bravery; you will be better for it.
