Quick One – Ignorance Is Not Bliss

There’s this horrible notion slithering through human behavior: acting like a subject of knowledge is beneath one’s self for engaging with it.

There’s nothing “cool” about not caring to know something. If that’s the thinking, then it’s all about ego. Because ego can’t handle not understanding – a shortcoming of one’s cognitive abilities. Yet this shortcoming is exactly where these abilities get stretched. Only then can they reach new heights.

I’ve fallen prey to this thinking before. It stemmed from my fear of failing to understand something. But you can’t fail if you don’t try, right?

It’s braver to ask a question multiple times than staying in the dark. Yes, it might make us look stupid. But looking stupid momentarily is much better than staying it forever.
